Shit!

First I missed the train to Paris, which means a whopping 50 pound penalty (about 90 USD). Then when i get to paris, i was tired, dehydrated (having only eaten a crossant and cereal), then when i get to the right metro stop, turns out the hostel was nowhere close. i walked for about 10 mins and i knew i was pretty close but i gave up and fetched a taxi. 3 euro was spent. best choice ever.

Just as I dropped all my bags and backpacks to the floor at the reception, the guy could not find my name on the list of people who had reserved for today. Checking... checking... and check again... oh.. my... f)#$@*)@... god... I BOOKED FOR JULY 1ST........... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......

ok it wasn't that bad becuase they had a bed for me still but it wasn't the nice bed in mixed dorm i had reserved. it was some bed in twin-bed private room that is somewhere in the basement or something..

in any case, i am too tired. my roomate is waiting for me (who is in the same room with me, we have been walking around and eating together)... so... i think i am going to walk back for abit.. and.. just chill out... hopefully i will have a better tomorrow (cliche++)

wearily yours,

  • hahha. awesome. your experience is pretty typical among first time travelers to a francophone country.

nothing ever goes smooth upon arriving in paris. papers go missing, getting lost, the rush, lack of nourishment. its a strange sort of phenomenon, that I have yet to examine.

have a great time. hope you got my emails.
