Do not be disappointed when lots of people don't write into your "blog". It's kind of like peeking into a diary. Seems way too personal somehow. However, I have followed your trip and enjoyed it. LIked the shot of the rainsoaked boulevard and of the old town of Heidelberg from the castle. I have the same shot and the rich reds of the rooftops and the deep green of the hillside always stir strong memories. I golf with a fellow who is retired and who stayed in the tower apartment on the Old Bridge in Heidelberg while he attended the university there. M Sill
I understand how you feel. I really don't feel all that lonely now, not since I got to Prague. But before that it was kinda rough going through all the smaller cities in Germany not knowing anybody and talking much with anyone else.
In any case, I am glad you liked the shots. I was just so overwhemlingly happy and grateful the weather was just gorgeous when I was in Heidelberg this time around.
As much I as I have enjoyed travelling, I really can't wait till I get to sit down and print out these pics and hang them on the wall proper. Some of the pictures are just mere obligatory touristy shots but there are a few others with more depth than that.
This is a journal for my journey to Germany and Czech Republic this May-June 2006. I'll continue to post updates and photos of the trip whenever I get a chance.
